From what you've said in your original post it's the tonality of those vintage Fender amps you're after. If that's the case I would suggest spending your $1000 on getting one of the Tonemaster versions of those amps and there are several to choose from all the way from the Twin Reverb on down...

Yup. By in large their pedals are all pretty good. I've used several in the past and never had an issue with any of them.
