    For The Bassist In You

Once a year or so I look over what I have and decide what more or different I'd like to have. The Kiloton is probably the most unique sounding bass I own and they also offer a fretless version of it. I don't own a fretless any longer so I thought the proper approach was to sell this one first...

    Way Huge Klon Klone....

So they sold out at $189 and now those who bought them are asking $500 plus for them on Reverb? I guess they've got that part of Kloning down.

    Well, the power is out.

When I lived back in Englewood it was in an older area built up in the 30s-40s and post war period so all of the electric lines were above ground. Right outside the window in the den where I sat and worked was a power pole with a transformer attached that provided power for a several block area...

    Casino Owners

The funny thing to me is that unless one is into the vintage thing and wants sunburst or natural like John Lennon's stripped version the Casino Worn Series is actually kind of unique, especially the olive finish. And from what I can determine they're identical electronically and have the same...

Advice buying a vintage fender (Amp reverb or pedal reverb?)

From what you've said in your original post it's the tonality of those vintage Fender amps you're after. If that's the case I would suggest spending your $1000 on getting one of the Tonemaster versions of those amps and there are several to choose from all the way from the Twin Reverb on down...

    Greetings and Salutations!!!

Yup. By in large their pedals are all pretty good. I've used several in the past and never had an issue with any of them.

Can anybody recommend a high quality, good sounding looper?

As I posted in another thread there are some products that were designed and produced pre-Behringer that are very good. The Looper is one of them. I've owned three and still have a mini Looper. There are some other products that are well worth it too but the list is shorter now. I believe...

    Greetings and Salutations!!!

If you go back in time before Behringer bought them they were innovative as all hell and their quality was unsurpassed. The company was based in Denmark and they were well known for their studio gear as well. They still have some very good products that were designed prior to Behringer's...

Your 'Weapons of Choice' for today....[pics preferred]

Thanks Scott. It's my own creation of features I wanted to try that were beyond anything Fender was producing. It's not just pretty it's pretty unique too and sounds and plays as good as it looks.

Can anybody recommend a high quality, good sounding looper?

Although I almost hate to promote tc electronic products any longer their Ditto Looper is a good piece of work and you can find tons of them used for far less than $300.

    Babicz FCH Bridges

Much like Hipshot, Bad Ass, Gotoh, Faber, and others the Babicz FCH concept is kind of an acquired taste that not everyone likes. Slowly but surely they've gained broader acceptance so I figured I'd mention them because they don't get as much publicity as they deserve. The eCam idea is a...

    Greetings and Salutations!!!

Those Bugera v5 amps were actually pretty good little amps. I had one for awhile and upgraded it with an Eminence 820H speaker. It was such a simple circuit that it was a fun amp to explore tube rolling with. No one loves how Uli Behringer does business least of all me after he bought tc...

    Needs vs Wants

For those who can actually play like Geddy, Chris Squire, or McCartney a Ric makes sense. Skinny neck for speed and dexterity and a very identifiable higher register sound. But most bassist can't and they end up playing far busier bass lines than the law allows. Guess you can tell I'm not a...

    Babicz FCH Bridges

As much as anything they are a drop in replacement for any Fender Bass or any bass that uses the same five screw bridge mounting. I don't believe one would easily mount on a Sting Ray. As I posted, they aren't exactly inexpensive but they do show up used on Ebay and Reverb every once in...
