I just listened to the whole demo. Great stuff. Not only can Koch play, pretty sure he can sell sand to Arabs.

Sure does look cool. Koch is one of the best. I have his book on slide technique. If I didn't have all these other effects… that I don’t use to their fullest. I’d prolly get one.

@john john I found some better info. Looks more certain this is a ‘79. Serial number indicates this was stamped on the 98th day in 1979. Still 1979. On the pot, 71-079. This number is Gibson’s ‘in house’ part number. 13778? Is incomplete. Because we can’t see what’s under that...

Pulled down the 12 the other day. Strings had turned to crap. And the whole thing was dusty as could be. Dry fretboard. Before After. I put together a hybrid set of strings, 8s. All flatwounds. Fretboard. Before on the right. After on the left.

Must have been defective.
