    Greetings and Salutations!!!

Those Bugera v5 amps were actually pretty good little amps. I had one for awhile and upgraded it with an Eminence 820H speaker. It was such a simple circuit that it was a fun amp to explore tube rolling with. No one loves how Uli Behringer does business least of all me after he bought tc...

    Needs vs Wants

For those who can actually play like Geddy, Chris Squire, or McCartney a Ric makes sense. Skinny neck for speed and dexterity and a very identifiable higher register sound. But most bassist can't and they end up playing far busier bass lines than the law allows. Guess you can tell I'm not a...

    Babicz FCH Bridges

As much as anything they are a drop in replacement for any Fender Bass or any bass that uses the same five screw bridge mounting. I don't believe one would easily mount on a Sting Ray. As I posted, they aren't exactly inexpensive but they do show up used on Ebay and Reverb every once in...

    Needs vs Wants

That's ok by me. You can have my share of all the Rics out there. I've never liked them and Geddy played and recorded with his Jazz Bass a lot as well.

    Happy Birthday Bon Scott!

Missed this one. Wonder if someone else was hosting his balls after his death?

    Babicz FCH Bridges

Whether you're a guitarist or a bassist there's always an interest in aftermarket products especially better bridges. I've been using Babicz FCH Bridges on a Tele and my PBass and JBass for about ten years now and I'm duly impressed. They aren't inexpensive but in terms of adding to attack and...

I've done my share of Jaeger shots and once won a jello shot contest!!! 🏆 But that's not what you mean is it? ;)

    Show Your Number One Amp

I posted a pic of my current bass rig a few weeks ago commenting on how tiny it was but I realized I failed to include something else in the pic that could be compared to it and make it's scale easier to understand. So I took one with that new Sire U5 short scale bass next to it. The bass...

    Needs vs Wants

I've reached the conclusion that "wants" never seem to stop wanting and go away. There's really nothing more I absolutely need having covered various body styles and pickups. But somehow I still can't rest so I'm often in the process of thinking about selling something and replacing it with...

    Here it is....as promised.

That's an incredible story and back history Scott. Interesting guitar to have in your collection too.

    Different string gauge per guitar

A lot of bassists play with the most outrageous setups I've ever seen. When I was subbing in a rock trio a few years ago because their regular bassist was on probation and couldn't travel when he returned his Dad who was the guitarist/vocalist brought me his Squier PBass and asked me to set it...

Your 'Weapons of Choice' for today....[pics preferred]

They are kinda like that aren't they. Of all my different guitars the Teles have always been the easiest to just pick up and play. It always feels like I'm more "connected" to guitar and amp than with others.

    Warren Haynes! That Pedal Show!

Terrific player and vocalist. Love his stuff with Govt. Mule and the Allman Brothers. Looks like he's lost some serious weight too.

Ha ha, should have figured a good German beer drinker would chime in with some advice. 🤣

    Different string gauge per guitar

While I believe that certain guitars and their setup tends to benefit from certain strings for the sake of simplicity and economics I use half size 9.5-.44 or 9.5-46 on all of mine. The only change is if I use pure nickels instead of nickel wound.

Your 'Weapons of Choice' for today....[pics preferred]

Switching it up for the weekend. It's Telecaster Time. Who doesn't love a Tele? It's simple and unpretentious. Kinda like a cold beer on a hot summer day and who doesn't love a tall cold brew on a hot summer day. Amirite? Of course I am. Now I'm confused. Should I drink or should I...

    Casino Owners

I had a natural finish Casino which I sold earlier this year. As much as I loved it most of my playing was done on my other models. When playing at home I sit down a lot more these days and a full 335 size body is less comfortable for me than smaller body models like my ES339. But now I find...
