At first glance one might think it rather simplistic given the complexity in much of Queen's compositions, which I think is testament to the genius behind their catalog. Then, when sitting down and giving it a critical listen the wonderful sophistication begins to emerge...

Crazy Little Thing...

Everything is subtle and amazingly choreographed; bg vocals, unpredictable bass line, perfect percussion and Dr. May's very tasteful restraint do justice to Bulsara's vocal which...I think among his best.

That, and it's just plain fun.

Listen to the guitar tone on this one. I can actually get that sound after the pick slides when the riff comes in.

I put the demo of this here because the bass really makes this song as well. Sounds like a MusicMan to me that is starting to clip.
