I've been using Elixir (nanoweb) for about as long as they've been making them. For years it was 09-42 but the past couple of years I switched to 10-46. This is reminding me I'm due for my 2x annual string change. :)

I've had many FR equipped guitars over the years and it only takes slightly longer to set up and float a FR than it does a Fender style trem. Yes, if you break a string then your guitar will be out of tune but that will happen with a floating Strat trem as well. That said, I now prefer the feel...

This is me 100%…well, maybe 95%. I still play too many notes but I’m not much of a shredder.

If we're talking focused practice on a technique, scales, theory, etc...then virtually none these days. What time I do have to play is usually spent learning songs and/or improvising over various backing tracks. On average I probably have a guitar in my hand for 30 minutes to an hour most days.

That sounds really good. Every time I hear Cantrell sing I'm reminded just how much his voice was a part of the overall AIC vocal sound.
