Initially fine, but as I lived with it a while I started noticing I was trying to dial out a bit of “fragile” high end.
I asked if there was any problem shunting off the dummy coil.
Turns out they just reverse...
I can hear something in the treble freqs that requires judicious dialing out:

It sounds good, but I ordered a standard P-90 from him to replace it anyway.
Having a hidden coil takes something away I can’t quite put my finger on, but can hear.

I’ve had some that did, and were a pain sometimes.
Also had about an equal number that were zero or negligible.
Some need a leather strap and caution.
Some are fine with nylon web (Earnie Ball) type straps.
