The front in this view is facing the top. So we can read the labels. But when stacked on the cab you would be looking at the back of the head. First world problem for sure.

Is this is oriented for the direction the pots turn as well?

If you face the head so the grill cloth and the head match the pots maybe would be backwards?

Any thoughts?

It might look aesthetically better on top of the cab, but if you have a hard time dealing with it, why not place it differently. It is not a very complicated amp, you'll probably get used to what's what in no time.

I guess guitarists played hidden in the back of their amp when that was designed :D

AFAIK this is from back in the 60s-70s, when the amp was infront of the guitarist on the stage

makes not that much sense nowadays
Peter has it right. Back in the before time, guitarists were seated beside or just behind the amp.

No, I won’t.

I’ve had one, got rid of it. Now I have two Blues to pair with it. Will get another. It’s just always bugged me. I used to just turn the head around but that kills the look.

I plan on labeling the thing appropriately.
