Good. This takes advantage of unknowing consumers. There is a Facebook group for Chibson owners that encourages this sort of illegal activity. I’m surprised Gibson hasn’t sued.

I've only run into one. The guys who owned a pawn store I would check out from time to time took one in and made a loan on it. It was a Silverburst finished model. It played OK but as soon as I plugged it in I could tell it was a fake. One thing the forgers do not do is waste money on decent pickups. Then as I looked it over more closely I could see the other tell tale giveaways. But it was still a good forgery.
