2009 CIC Classic Vibe Jazz purchased on a whim from Reverb as I was needing a full sized bass. Anyhow here she is! Needed a bloody good clean and a setup but plays great. The tone pot seems shot but i'm planning on upgrading the pots and capacitor anyway so no big deal. Frets are good, neck is straight and the pickups sound great. Just need to readjust to playing a full size bass after playing a Jaguar guitar exclusively for the last year and half. 🙂👍20241122_152628.jpg20241122_152639.jpg
 
Had one just like it that I sold a few years ago when I bought my G&L L2500. The original CIC models hit way above their weight. Don't know what you paid for it but it's a good choice for a very sound bass. Easily upgraded as well. Same specs as US builds.

I have one of the newer Indonesian built models which I believe Samick is producing now. Got it for a great price and upgraded the hell out of it with the same stuff I used on the 2009 CIC model so it's comparable but I might still call the CIC a notch better.

I used to own an early 2009 CIC Classic Vibe 50's Tele. I remember the quality being immense on those early Classic Vibes so when I saw this I thought no brainer. 🙂👍
 
I had two late 00s CVs. One a Custom Tele and the other than Jazz Bass. Both were modified quite a bit and both are now gone but for far more than I paid for them. I don't really regret it either. Others just as good have replaced them so for me it's a little like "rotating the stock". 😁
 
I've thought about buying a bass but I'm not sure I'd get on with it, tbh. I really like lead guitar so I'm not so sure I'd be satisfied playing bass. I guess I could be like Berry Oakley and treat it like it's just a big guitar lol

Hate to tell ya' this but lead guitarists usually make lousy bassists and that's the reason. :ROFLMAO:
