It truly is. I checked them out as a wholesale source. All they require is an initial order of $1500 and a minimum $1000 on future orders. Their Franklin Guitar Works division sells parts direct or discounted whole instruments from their Reverb Store. I've seen some of their work and it's much like getting a new or a "B" Stock instrument that's been fully repaired. Those listed on Reverb are priced anywhere from a minimum of 20% less than MSRP to as much as 44% less.
I think the major caveat in buying one is to be aware of how that sticker on the back may impact resale. At this point in time MIRC "refurbs" are still not widely accepted or appreciated for what they are. Only a very attractive asking price will attract buyers and some may spurn them completely out of ignorance from a lack of understanding what it is their buying. Maybe the guitar/bass buying public should become better educated on the value of these instruments.
