Allen Woody, bass player for The Allman Brothers Band and Govt Mule, had close to 450 instruments when he passed away so many years ago. He worked at Gruhn's at one time, with Scott Baxendale from Strat Talk. Scott knew Woody well.
There's a picture of Woody in a Fly Guitars article where he's sitting in front of maybe 50 or 60 instruments? It's one of my favorite pics of Allen.
