Probably it would be 'peanuts' for thomann to buy them.....
Hofner is located not far from thomann
Maybe Hans Thomann has a few pennies left after buying Hughes&Kettner not long ago

GEWA bought Höfner some time ago.

GEWA is largely owned by Thomann and they will deal with distribution. Violins will still be made as will the 500/1 bass.
That explains why Johann (Hans) Thomann is CEO at Höfner

About 25 production staff have been kept on.

So for the moment it seems the name will survive.
