My band, Farmer Wilson, just released a new tune, "Bassist". It puts the spotlight on the often overlooked and underappreciated backbone of the band, a very strange feeling for me on the bass. But for whatever reason people love it live. Thought the GearTalk crowd might apprecaite it. Check it out and let me know what you think. Many thanks for the recognition. We are the "big shoulders" of the band plus we always get the best looking women.

I think that may have to do our uhhh.....technique. No one plucks better than a bassist. 😁

It is nice to get the shout out sometimes. Our bands would be lost without us, though I wouldn't be much without them either.

Yeah, the market for solo bassists is kinda limited and always filled with those with spider like fingers who can do the kind of fretboard gymnastics most can only dream of. I've always enjoyed being the bassist more than the second guitarist. Even as a vocalist I always feel more "connected" to the music if I'm in control of the pocket.
