I ordered an Analogman Dual Bad Bob pedal, which should have been here Saturday (for my show Sat. night), however it appears that the Post Office decided it should take a vacation to sunny Florida first....

I guess it was just a weekend trip, because now its back!

Having worked in a CS position where this happened a lot IME whenever that happens it's an issue with an address. If it's shown as out for delivery and delivery wasn't made that's where the hang up was. My take would be either an issue with the address used by the shipper or did the package require a signature upon delivery and no one was home to sign for it? I'd question the shipper about it and allow them to track down why.

Same.
I particularly loved one item that spent a week going back and forth between the main sorting station here in hipsterville, and one 100 miles to my south. It got pretty entertaining in its stupid factor.

I suspect, but I don't know, that the post office markets a "first class ground delivery" deal to merchants, and that if the package appears to be arriving before a specific time frame, like 10 days, it gets a tour... excuse me...road trip.

Difficult to comprehend, except perhaps that it competes with other USPS shipping options like priority and the like....
one would think a population happy with the post office would be a good thing? It makes no sense, but then I don't imagine that much does in mind of louis dejoy.

This is definitely something I don't need to sign for, and it never even made it to my local PO before heading out to Florida, lol.

My local PO absolutely blows... the mailman didn't come until 6:30 pm last Friday. Sometimes they don't come at all, and the next day I'll have twice (the junk) mail in my mailbox.

And then there's that. Some post offices and some carriers are notoriously bad. I've seen deals where a residential address was the same numerically but marked as "A" and "B" with "B" having it's separate entrance on the side of the building and still have a carrier fail to deliver it saying address not found. How did that person manage to pass his Civil Service Exam to get his job?

If it never made it to the final destination for delivery why does the tracking show "Out for Delivery" from the Bethlehem, PA location? Was the zip code or city given in the address incorrect? In any event the shipper will probably have to sort it out but I would also ask your local Postmaster what their take on it might be. They may have more info than is ever included on the tracking.
