40 more days.......

Oh God.....that's a relief. I thought it was a warning we were about get hit with 40 days and nights of rain and we should start building arks.

If you think about it we may not be that far away from another one of those. We may need to turn our hollow and semi-hollow bodies into canoes and our Teles into canoe paddles. Hmmmm.......maybe this is a good time to buy an upright bass.

I've got the Music Nomad tool set coming my way! It comes with everything needed to do a set up on a guitar.

Wish Music Nomad had been around years ago before I began buying up all kinds of individual tools for tech work.

Now, if you all would like to buy me a nice Christmas gift for sweeping the floors and cleaning all the glass and mirrors over on the EpiTalk forum I would humbly accept. You too Alex. That goes for you as well. 🤣🤣🤣

Excellent choice! I've purchased some MusicNomad tools recently, and although they are quite expensive, there are absolutely superb. I particularly like the case containing all the relevant gauges at the bottom in the picture which I always keep handy next to where I sit to play. Also be advised to pay some attention to their demonstration videos which are quite instructive and straightforward.

I plan on getting their nut slotting files as well as the fret crowning file eventually. They are better priced than their Stewmac equivalents!

I bought an extremely cheap set of nut slotting files from Thomann which just does the job, specifically as I'm not planning on doing this on a daily basis. It cost under €10. As far as fret dressing or crowning, I'd rather invest €200 for a Thomann Plek service, if I consider the guitar worth doing so, since it provides the most accomplished way of achieving the best results in this area.
