If you want a truly vintage Marshall tone, Marshall is the last place I’d look. I think the Vintage Modern was one of the last “true” Marshall amps. IMO of course.

I wouldn’t say that, they’re still good guns. I’ve read some positive reviews about them that would convince me to buy one, if I were in the market.

I tried these for the first time yesterday on my chambered R8, they are LOUD and bright! And stretched out/stayed in tune quicker than the usual Ernie Ball or D'Addario strings I use. They're a little more expensive but worth it IMO, I love the way they sound! Anyone else give these a try?

The ones I've seen for sale online don't look too bad, however, if they put crap tuners, bridges, pots, caps, pickups, etc... that'll suck. I hope not.
