    Removing pickup covers

If you can break the solder connection but cutting through it I believe that would work. There are also quite few online videos showing various ways of doing it.

Selling used guitars at insane prices

This story reminds me of a joke I heard on Facebook from that couple Mike and Joelle. Husband; What you do if I won the lottery? Wife; I take my half and leave you. Husband; Ok, I just won $12. Here's your half. Be sure to stay in touch.

Selling used guitars at insane prices

There was one woman whom if I had married here I believe I might have met a similar fate. I dodged a bullet. Figuratively of course.

    New Bass Day

Hate to tell ya' this but lead guitarists usually make lousy bassists and that's the reason. :ROFLMAO:

“The country a guitar is made in does not matter much”

The CEO of Fender had some interesting things to say during an interviews as it relates to why OEM parts costs are such a big deal and once he explained it I got it. He claimed that a $5 increase in parts cost ends up adding $50 to the retail MSRP. It sounds a little off when you first read it...

Selling used guitars at insane prices

Only when it works. Had a friend who had an old truck he kept telling his wife he was gonna sell but he had it priced so high no one bought it. He figured he was safe. He and some of his fishing buddies took off on a week long fishing trip. She put her own add up asking about half what he...

Selling used guitars at insane prices

I'd love to have all of the gear I once owned back in the late '60s and early '70s. I figure it's best not to think about it.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks Alex. I think you can also say that we're thankful for having this forum as yet another place where musicians can go to meet, discuss, debate, and get answers to question without having to deal with trolls and the obnoxious personalities that inhabit other forums. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!

The way I see it is wood is wood. Yeah, there may be different grades of Alder, Ash, Poplar, Maple, etc but only the top grades are suitable for instrument production. CNC machines have replaced a lot of the labor involved with cutting body and neck blanks to size. Are we to believe those...

Selling used guitars at insane prices

For starters I think a whole lot of less experienced sellers fail to do their homework as far as determining what current MV is for the gear they're selling. IME used guitars like this one can sell anywhere from 50% of new to 80% of new. It just depends on it's condition and how much demand...

    All Things Funny...

Brought to us by the same people who attempted to sell 1/3 lb burgers to Americans who refused to buy them because they believed a 1/4 burger was larger. I only wish I could expand on this by including those who believe foreign countries actually pay tariffs imposed on them by a guy with less...

My point though was that even if I choose to upgrade most of what can be I'd still have hundreds of dollars less into that import than I would it's US equivalent. For instance; An American Pro II Tele sells for $1700 whereas a Squier CV 50s Tele sells for $430. With the $1270 saved I can buy...
