    Rock n Roll Fantasy Camp

Nice! Only $5700. Might be something to do after the Mojotone Amp Building class. I’ll have to wait since I just signed up for a Spanish class at the local U.

    Warming up

Just about everything I do could be counted as a warm-up…no real progress here lately.

Hollow Bodies. Post your pictures here!

I still have these two Gretsch: I gave my third Gretsch to my son and an Epi to my son-in-law…so I still see them every once in a while.

What guitars do you want more of?

I would like a 12 string resonator…but I only have room for air guitars.

Pretty good tone for the cheapest tube amp around.

Me too…that is, I have so many other amps that I cannot make a case for another unless it is something collector worthy…even then, something would have to go.

Pretty good tone for the cheapest tube amp around.

The MP15/1 is a great little tube amp. I’ve had two that I passed on to family. I’d get another were I not knee deep in other amps.

To Floyd or not to Floyd?

I have one Floyd guitar, which has its place…but for the most part I’m not coordinated enough to play any trem well. I should probably practice instead of post. LOL.

    Show Your Number One Amp

Wrt my Pawn Shops (Excelsior and Vaporizer)…the cool look probably got me started on them, but they are very nice amps to play. They are both bold and can be really loud. I changed the speaker in my Excelsior to a 1518, which really made it a living thing. Sounds excellent with just a reverb...

What did you do to your guitar today?

I put a new strap on my newly acquired Schecter. Eyeballed the lineup.

    Well, the power is out.

Our power was out for 22.5 hours fm Tue eve this week following a big blow. The humid night into early AM reminded me of my childhood (no AC) and later camping trips…🙊🙈🙉. The timing of the restoration of power was right on the edge of our freezers’ ability to maintain temp…the stuff in the...

Advice buying a vintage fender (Amp reverb or pedal reverb?)

Welcome Aboard! I’m a Fender Pawn Shop series fan. The Vaporizer has a surprisingly good/lush spring reverb in a simple 2x10 amp. (I also have an Excelsior with no onboard reverb). Every other time I’ve gone in with cash in hand for a Fender amp, I’ve come away with another brand…happily, but an...

    My philosophy for guitars

That has been my philosophy…more guitars for the $$$s. NOW, however, I’m thinking of selling/trading off several against one or two just to gain some space. A fickle human am I.

    Your Latest Pedalboard

I was bitten by the Bolt&Forge bug when I hosted their tour box. Great pedals…I eventually acquired all four they offered at that point. This small board has a 15’ cable and I plug into the business end of whatever rig I’m messing with at the moment. Since the photo, I’ve added a Fulltone Mini...
