Hey everyone!

I’m working on a new voiceover project and could really use some guidance from experienced voice artists or producers. The project involves narration for a short documentary, and I’m trying to figure out the best setup for clear, professional-quality audio.

I currently have a decent USB mic and basic editing software, but I’m unsure about noise reduction, vocal warm-ups, and how to achieve a consistent tone throughout the recording.

Any tips on workflow, equipment upgrades, or post-processing would be greatly appreciated.

How do you usually prepare and polish your voiceover recordings?

thanks in advance for any help

Very easy, works every time!
Hire professionals in whichever the areas you, or whomever is commissioning the project, lacks expertise. You will be very happy you did.

And going forward, it's far preferable to lament the cost of a successful project than it is to lament the quality of a failure.
