The title says it all. Anyone around who can provide some useful information on this?

Alright guys, you are always great when it comes to giving a whole lot of useless information, or just dish out some kind of nonsense at random, but thanks to the Internet, more useful information can always be found if you do your own research. So, as a starting point, here is this:

Definition of "Heritage Series." When was the term first used?

Thanks to everyone for his or her (BGood?) contribution, and asking the moderator to close this thread and leave it at that.

"Heritage Cherry Sunburst" is the color palette, and spray pattern used on the original bursts.
(Although modern stabilizers were used to prevent "Checking")
This later changed to "Washed Cherry Sunburst", a color change that was more accurate, regarding
the fading that took place over the years.

I don't think Heritage has anything to do with the finish being or looking faded. It's a nod to their original Cherry Sunburst finish on the 59s.

With "heritage" meaning a style or design that pays homage to older, classic guitars, often referencing the vintage look of guitars from the 1950s.

It's pretty simple to figure out with context clues(those things you learned about at 8 or 9 years old lol)

You really need to register at the above mentioned forum with this great information.....
you will soon learn how this crowd thinks about €piphones

and

if you did your research a bit earlier - you didn't have to ask us useless folks

Hmmm. I've never gotten any weird or bad vibes when Ive mentioned my Epi Les Paul there.

I also never assumed it was anything about the colours looking faded or something along these lines, or else, the finish of my very beautiful Epiphone Les Paul Heritage Cherry Sunburst would belie the entire concept, for the very least. Perhaps I had better rephrase my original question as in "when was the term Heritage first used in product branding, and what was the idea behind it". However, the pointers given by DelawareGold above pretty much answered it, as well as yours, so thank you very much.

Also perhaps I should join one or more of the allegedly nasty other forums one day also, only to find out what really happens when posting questions over there, and whether or not you get straightforward answers instead of being led down the garden path.

You're lucky. Buy a lottery ticket right away.

Tough crowd here I tell you.
