I have a dual delay that I bought from Donner a couple of years ago. It's literally 2 delay pedals in a single enclosure. One for each "stereo" channel. It's different. Anybody looking to try one for cheap could try the Donner.
Controlling 2 parallel delay pedals and making it sound good...
I got a bunch of stuff this Christmas. 4 pedals. 4 or 5 tools from Stewmac. Some other stuff...strings and picks. Hosco/Gotoh tuners. Maybe something else. I made out like a bandit for my bday in September so I'm good on guitars and amps for a while.
I gotta do something with these tuners...
I don't think Heritage has anything to do with the finish being or looking faded. It's a nod to their original Cherry Sunburst finish on the 59s.
With "heritage" meaning a style or design that pays homage to older, classic guitars, often referencing the vintage look of guitars from the 1950s...
I knew that Stewmac membership was a bad idea lmao 🤣
Just ordered a nut & saddle vise and a Fret Kisser from them. Both on sale. Still waiting on the Z file and concave fret end file that I ordered last week. They were on sale, also.
Also waiting on the Ernie Ball Paradigm strings I ordered...
Ordered another DemonFX pedal.
This one is an ISP Decimator II clone. Supposed to use the same technology. It has the LED's inside like the genuine DII uses. I believe it's a pretty good clone. It doesn't appear to cut off the guitar signal at higher settings like cheaper pedals such as the...
Just ordered a harmonizer pedal lol.
I'd been looking for one a while ago and finally decided that I didn't need one. So I gave up on that. Well yesterday, I came across a vid where this guy demo'd a few and showed different ways to use them and it restoked the flame. The guys youtube name is...
Got a 2-pack of Ernie Ball Paradigm 10-52 strings.
Ordered some more 'clown barf' picks from Banjo Ben's.
Ordered a regular Z-file from Stewmac while theyre on sale for 50% off. $52 is WAYYYYYY better than $105 👌
Still on sale. $58 at Amazon
Maybe something else.
I agree. Part of what keeps those guitars inexpensive IS the lower quality electronics and hardware. Personally, I have no problem installing $600+ worth of parts on my $250 guitar. Had they been installed at the factory, it definitely wouldn't have been a $250 guitar, still. That's part of what...
I agree. My guitars are phenomenal. I didn't pay more than $300 for any of them. I guarantee if they were built to this level of quality in the US, they'd be $1200-$1500 easily. Probably even more than that. Every Indio guitar I've ever ordered from Monoprice came to me almost perfect out of the...
I've thought about buying a bass but I'm not sure I'd get on with it, tbh. I really like lead guitar so I'm not so sure I'd be satisfied playing bass. I guess I could be like Berry Oakley and treat it like it's just a big guitar lol
Did you get in on the sale Amazon had the other day? 3 packs of 9.5 to 44 for $6.99 each? I ordered 3 packs and 2 of them came in today. Waiting on the 3rd. I don't normally use these but I figured they'd be OK for $2.33/ pack lol
Had the P90 Goldtop out to play and do a repair on. When I bought it, the lower strap button had been pushed in, leaving a depression in the wood and cracking the finish. I never worried about it because it's under the strap and strap button so I never see it. The depression was around 6-7mm...
Stewmac is having their Black Friday sale so I picked up a few things. Their original Z files with the handle are 50% off right now. $52 instead of $105 so I bought a standard Z file. I already have a compact "centered Z file" so I went for the offset original...
Got that installed and all I can say is I'm done looking for pickups. This bridge pickup is exactly what I was looking for. It's actually usable for anything, IMO. Lead. Rhythm. Whatever. I can't say the same for the Seth Lover or the 59 bridge pickups in my other guitars.
The aged magnet...
Ordered a Seymour Duncan Antiquity bridge pickup for the new Les Paul. It currently has an Antiquity neck and Seth Lover bridge pickup so the Seth Lover is coming out and it'll go into another guitar. Free overnight shipping means it'll be here tomorrow!
I'm pretty sure my next amp will be a Marshall. I almost bought one instead of the Hot Rod Deluxe but I wanted a Fender with a good clean channel. So I bought the Fender. One thing that turned me away was seeing the "normal issues" with whatever I was looking at. Origin 20, maybe? I don't...
A month later and I've really grown to like this amp in it's current form with a 12AY7 in V1 and a 12AT7 in V3. It really is a totally different amp. So much more usable. I rarely play my Monoprice amp these days. If I do, it's only for a few minutes while the Hot Rod warms up. Or it's in stereo...
