I was going to write something up for him. I have talked with his mother several times. My health has been going downhill for quite awhile and I haven’t been very active on the forum. I can’t really play guitar anymore because of arthritis. But, enough said about that for now.
Ryan and I got along famously. Probably because we are both weirdos. We both collected guitars and classic toys. I had sen’t him a few of my favorite toys from when I was a kid. One was a Matchbox train set from the 70’s, one was a Mego Spider-Man action figure from the 70’s, and my favorite, a highly collectible Lesley matchbox Mustang with wheels that turned in the cardboard box.
I sent him these for Christmas one year. He set the train up around his Christmas tree. I guess his really young nephew loved it. We were from different Generations. I am Gen X or Generation Jones. And he was a quite a bit younger than me. Both on the Spectrum. But he was more arrested by that diagnosis than I was.
Ryan was into Legos like most Autistics. When he died, his mom sent me a Lego kit that he had built. It was a simple car. Ryan never read the directions lol. A couple of pieces were in the wrong spot. I tell you, I cried when I opened it up along with the obituary that his mom sent from Canada.
I really miss him.
