    New Celestion Peacekeeper Speaker

The original Colt Peacemaker. As carried by Patton in WWII. Looks like we both were right.

    Ernie Ball Cobalt Strings

I’ve been using them for years. They really tighten up the bass when playing through high gain. Just don’t get crazy with a powered peg winder and over tighten them accidentally. The wound strings are quite brittle, and can snap easily at the peg head when winding them up. The plain steels...

New Fender Guitars for 2025 - NAMM

I just checked Zzounds and the tuners and bridge on the Tele seem to be that used on the Player Tele. It looks like they are splitting the difference between the Squier CV 50’s and the player as far as hardware. The neck finish and frets are different. Med jumbo on the standard and narrow...

New Fender Guitars for 2025 - NAMM

Indonesia huh? Sounds like we will be getting a top notch Squier with Fender branding on the headstock. They did this once before. I wonder if this will signal end of the Classic Vibe line. They are only about 50 or 60 bucks apart. Maybe Squiers will be re tiered and be even more budget...

    Repaired my Les Paul

One thing that O did on a red guitar that had a paint chip (it was see through red) was add a couple of drops of red food coloring to clear super glue and dab it in the chipped area with a toothpick. When you add the food coloring, you have about thirty seconds to apply it as a chemical...

    RIP John Sykes

My Dad and Mom were both really into classic muscle cars. My dad just got rid of an 85 SS El Camino that he restored, and my mom still has a 1969 Camaro that was her daily driver until a couple of years ago.

    RIP John Sykes

@Wound_Up you should really check out Blue Murder’s self titled first album and their second that came out in the early 90’s. I really dig Franklin’s fretless bass in Jelly Roll. Sykes was a musical genius.

    RIP John Sykes

I don’t like him either. But this is the Jelly Roll I was talking about.

    RIP John Sykes

That’s truly sad. I really liked him. I think I will throw on my Blue Murder CD and reminisce. The whole album was great. Too bad the radio stations at the time only played Jelly Roll. The restless bass in that song was killer. Great production as well.
