    Eric Gales

This man is a beast. Could you imagine SRV and Mr. Gales on stage together? That would be just too awesome. It still baffles me how he plays his guitar upside down!

    Sturgill Simpson Live Show

I've been a big fan of his for a while, and in his recent return he has shifted into more of a rock angle to his music rather than country/bluegrass. I really enjoy this. His band is super talented!

Name me another band/artist who played a show in a blizzard lol

    Hi from Germany

Maybe you could try changing the neck pickup to a different brand with different wiring? It might be the only way to achieve what you want. I think somehow yours might have slightly less winding as I have no issue with the neck pickup being dark or muddy sounding. You could swap out both pickups...

    The best practice stool

The best stool for practising/playing guitar is a drum stool! I have one that I use specifically for this purpose and it's awesome! I always found bar stools to be awkward and chairs uncomfortable, and with the drum stool, you can adjust the height whenever you want, and they are durable!

    Hi from Germany

You are correct, mine is the honeyburst finish! I love the pickups in mine! The neck is chimey yet smooth at the same time and the bridge has enough bite to handle high gain. And the coil splitting sounds wicked too. The pickups in yours might be wired a bit differently? I would advise trying to...

    Hi from Germany

If you look towards the bottom of your post, you should see an "edit" button that you can hit and go back in and edit a post you made. It's no big deal though! IBG or EMC (EPI modern collection), it's all the same :) As pictured above

    Hi from Germany

It sounds like you've had quite a fulfilling life so far! Welcome! I grew up as part of the "YouTube" generation and I can attest to the fact that yes, YouTube has made learning guitar (or anything for that matter) a breeze, it can also be a hindrance in the fact that it sort of doesn't help you...

Any bass players in the house? Show me your bass thread!

One thing I have learned since making the shift to guitar as a primary instrument; guitar is way harder to play than bass lol. Sure, bass can be hard to play for a beginner (as any instrument should be) but in regards to the skill needed, bass is a cake walk compared to guitar. I have been...

    All Things Funny...

Here in Canada it isn't any different than you guys South of us. I graduated high school 15 years ago and so much has changed in a short amount of time. We aren't preparing kids for anything out in the real world. The real world is a cruel, harsh place that doesn't care if your feelings get hurt...

Any bass players in the house? Show me your bass thread!

I bet that has a wicked sound, with the Jazz pickup in the bridge and humbucker in the neck. Is it fully hollow or semi-hollow?

They passed through high school even though they failed (likely) because the school system didn't want to hurt their feelings. These kids get upset if they didn't get a passing grade so instead of dealing with failure and trying harder, the get rewarded for "trying" and put into the next grade...

I've boiled a few sets of bass strings in my time, it works, but it doesn't last as long as a fresh set of strings. It would be okay to do, say if you want to extend the life out of a set before a show and return that new string "piano" snap.

Good objective Epi 1959 LP review

I would like to try a 50's LP just to see if I would actually enjoy the neck profile. My Classic has a 60's slim taper, and I always prefer a thin neck, but I wouldn't mind seeing what the difference would be between the two.
