    Smartphone Zombies

It is a tool and tools should be used accordingly. Some folks go to bed with their phones. If you were a carpenter, would you bring your hammer to bed? (incoming dirty jokes )

    Smartphone Zombies

It's so disheartening to see people out and about glued to their smartphones. People out walking their dog(s) zonked out, glued to their phones. Young mothers out walking their newborns in the stroller all while glued to their smartphones. It is a serious epidemic in my opinion. I have adopted a...

What did you do to your guitar today?

I changed the strings on my acoustic from 11-52 to 12-53. I was getting some buzzing on the G string and it was from my heavy picking hand while doing flatpicking runs. The heavier gauge fixed this problem as they are tighter and don't move around as much

    Tuner bushings lifting out slightly

I have some aluminium tape on order, if that doesn't work I will try the glue method. Thanks for the help!

    Tuner bushings lifting out slightly

I installed a set of Grover tuners on my acoustic a while ago, and the bushings don't fit the tightest which is making them lift out ever so slightly when tuned to pitch. Would it be possible to add some aluminium tape to the bushings and seat them back into the peg holes? It's like mm's off...

    80/20 or Phosphor Bronze

Ever try Elixir strings on your acoustic? They last a crazy long time.

    80/20 or Phosphor Bronze

Elixir 80/20 seems to last a while in terms of tone, in my experience anyways. I just put PB on my guitar after having 80/20 on it for the past couple months and I noticed a huge difference in tone right away. Also, Ernie Ball Earthwood strings are the worst in my experience. They sound good...

    80/20 or Phosphor Bronze

I find myself caught in between these two. I love the bright/snappy tone of 80/20 but I also like the more mellow/focused tone of Phosphor Bronze. I feel like they each serve a different purpose. My acoustic has an Adi top and the 80/20 can be a bit brash when they are new, but they calm down...

Now This Take Some Brass Balls

I'll try them, but in my experience Ernie Ball strings are even worse than D'Addario

True single coil vs. coil split

I suppose it's like everything else, hit or miss! That's a unique coloured LP!

True single coil vs. coil split

Do any of you notice any huge difference between a true single coil and a humbucker with coil splitting? I noticed with my SG Pro (Epiphone) when I run the coil split in the neck position I get a great spanky/snappy tone. It's the same with the bridge. Is there any need for a guitar with true...
